Mukwonago Optimist History

In 1995, some of the citizens in Mukwonago decided to join and form a chapter of the Optimist Club.  A few of our current activities are the following: 

• Tri-Star Basketball contest for ages 6 through 13  

• Essay and Oratorical contests for high school and middle school students

• Hat and mitten tree in the local banks at Christmas time

• Sponsoring a family for gift giving at Christmas time

• Scholarships for high school seniors and 7th grade music camp participants

• Summer drama camp held at Mukwonago High School;

• Skateboard competition at East Troy Skateboard Park

• Build a fishing rod day for youngsters who are age 12 or older

The Mukwonago Optimist Club meets the second Thursday of day each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Waukesha State Bank Community Room in Mukwonago. Check our calendar or contact us on 262-363-7863 for our next meeting date.
